Read Receipts
- It is critical that information
is conveyed from the user's group to its members and that there
is a notification that the users received the information. Read
receipts are used by typical email client software in order
to inform the sender the viewing of an email. However, when
issuing a read receipt request of an email with a large number
of receivers, these systems become unusable. An email can be
issued and read receipt requested. As the members open the mail,
the read receipt is sent to the user's group. With any other
email client software, there would be thousands of read receipt
messages in the inbox. With PointClear MCS, these read receipts
would never make it to the inbox ,but would instead be used
to generate an active report tracking these receipts for that
particular message.
For example indicated by the screenshot. This is forever an active report; tracking incoming read receipts as they are received. Copies of these receipts are also stored into any available personal folders of the individual recipients.
